If you've ever been told, just pray about it and it made you feel worse, not better, this is for you. You are not a failure as a Christian for feeling anxious. Anxiety is the most common mental health struggle in America. About one in five adults deal with it. You're not weak.

You're normal and you're in good company. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Paul wrote that from prison, not from comfort. God doesn't just say, "Stop." He says, "Bring it here." Your heart and your mind are exactly what anxiety attacks and exactly what he promises to guard. So today, name it to God.

Cast it on him. He cares for you. And if you need help, get it. Therapy and faith are allies, not enemies. The deepest peace isn't a technique.

It's being brought home to God through Jesus, who sweat blood in a garden so you'd never be alone in yours. Father, give them the peace that surpasses understanding. Guard their heart. Guard their mind. Carry what they cannot carry in Jesus' name.

Amen. If this helped you, send it to someone who's anxious today. Subscribe to Praise Him Club.
