John 11:35 · NKJV
Jesus Knew Lazarus Would Live. He Still Wept. (John 11:35)
0:42 Short
What does John 11:35 say?
Jesus had already told His disciples He was going to wake Lazarus up (John 11:11). He knew the ending. Minutes later Lazarus would walk out of the tomb. And still, “Jesus wept” (John 11:35, NKJV).
If knowing the happy ending didn’t stop Jesus from crying, knowing heaven doesn’t mean you have to stop crying either. Hope doesn’t cancel tears. Hope gives them somewhere to go.
