What does 1 John 1:9 say?

Barna found that 22% of practicing Christians — more than one in five — say they struggle to receive forgiveness for something they have personally done wrong (April 2019).

That's not people who never go to church. That's the front row. Sitting in worship, singing about grace, unable to accept the grace they're singing about.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 NKJV) Two verbs. Both God's.
