Abraham’s Prayer for Someone He Loved (Genesis 18:25)
0:35 Short
What does Genesis 18:25 say?
Abraham had someone he loved inside a city facing judgment: his nephew Lot. He didn’t know how it would end. But he knew who was deciding. “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25, NKJV).
In Hebrew, “Judge” is shofet and “right” is mishpat, justice. Justice isn’t just something God does. It’s who He is. When you can’t see the whole picture, you can still know the character of the One who does.
Pray it with their name: “Lord, I entrust them to You. You are the Judge of all the earth, and You will do right.”
