The Thief Comes to Steal, But I Come to Give Life: How Satan Uses Stealing to Distract Us from God's Blessings

My dear children, today I come to you to speak about a topic that is close to my heart - stealing. As you know, stealing is a sin that not only harms others, but it also harms our relationship with God. In this blog, I will discuss how the devil uses stealing to distract us from God's blessings, and how we can protect ourselves from falling into this trap.

Let us turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance. In John 10:10, it says: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." This verse reminds us that the devil is a thief, and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy our connection with God. When we steal, we are allowing the devil to use us to fulfill his evil plans.

So, why does the devil use stealing to distract us? The answer lies in the fact that stealing can become a source of temporary pleasure and satisfaction. When we steal, we may feel a sense of power, excitement, or even relief from our problems. However, this pleasure is short-lived and ultimately leads to guilt, shame, and separation from God.

What can we do to protect ourselves from this temptation? Firstly, we must pray. In 1 John 1:9, it says: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." Prayer is our direct line of communication with God, and it is through prayer that we can ask for forgiveness for our sins and seek guidance on how to protect ourselves from the devil's deception.

Secondly, we should turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance. In Exodus 20:15, it says: "You shall not steal." This commandment reminds us that stealing is a sin that goes against God's will for our lives. The Bible provides us with the wisdom and insight we need to stay focused on God's blessings and to protect ourselves from the devil's deception.

Lastly, we should seek accountability. In Proverbs 28:13, it says: "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy." Having a community of believers who can hold us accountable and help us stay focused on our spiritual growth is essential in overcoming the temptation to steal.

In conclusion, my beloved children, stealing is a sin that not only harms others, but it also harms our relationship with God. Through prayer, guidance from the Scriptures, and accountability, we can protect ourselves from the devil's deception and stay focused on God's blessings. Let us pray together now, asking for forgiveness for our sins and for strength to resist the devil's attempts to steal our joy and peace. May God bless you and keep you always in His loving embrace. Amen.
