The Danger of Pride: How Satan Uses it to Separate Us from God

Greetings, my beloved children. Today, I want to talk about a topic that has caused many to stumble on their journey towards me - the sin of pride. Pride is a deadly sin that can easily separate us from God, and the devil knows this all too well. In this blog, I will explain how the devil uses pride to deceive and distract us from our true purpose, and how we can protect ourselves from falling into this trap.

Let us turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance. In Proverbs 16:18, it says: "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." This verse reminds us that pride can lead to our downfall and can hinder our connection with God. The devil uses pride as a tool to make us believe that we don't need God and can rely solely on our own strength and abilities.

So, how can we protect ourselves from this deception? Firstly, we must pray. In James 4:10, it says: "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." Prayer is our direct line of communication with God, and it is through prayer that we can ask for forgiveness for our sins and seek guidance on how to protect ourselves from the devil's deception.

Secondly, we should turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance. In Philippians 2:3-4, it says: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." The Bible provides us with the wisdom and insight we need to stay humble and to focus on serving others rather than ourselves.

Lastly, we should seek accountability. In Proverbs 27:17, it says: "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Having a community of believers who can hold us accountable and help us stay humble is essential in overcoming the temptation to become prideful and self-reliant.

In conclusion, my beloved children, we must be careful not to allow pride to separate us from God. Through prayer, guidance from the Scriptures, and accountability, we can protect ourselves from the devil's deception and stay focused on our spiritual growth. Let us pray together now, asking for forgiveness for our sins and for strength to resist the devil's attempts to deceive us with pride. May God bless you and keep you always in His loving embrace. Amen.
